After nearly 6 months of it being sidelined due to computer and electronic issues and many railfans saying it would get scrapped, UP 1995, the "Chicago and Northwestern" heritage unit made it's return on April 2, 2021. Here they are stopped on the Picacho Wye, waiting for the outbound to clear before heading into Phoenix on Wednesday, April 7, 2021. This is my fourth Union Pacific heritage unit locomotive that I have seen, and I'm just 2 away from catching all 6 of them! A great turn out of railfans came out for it's grand return back to the rails, including me!
