Thanks to other contributors who have recently uploaded steam images, I was encouraged to share one of my favorites as well. The image was taken during the Big Boy's very successful romp through Illinois before its return to its home in Wyoming. The big challenge in attempting to capture it in all its glory was to find a way to photograph 4014 when it was not surrounded by people. I was able to successfully isolate it as it was westbound to an overnight stay in West Chicago with the only people shown being its crew. Quite a site with resounding sound effects too!
